Yeah I went to Washington!

Just a couple highlights and more to follow... I'm already slow because I went to Washington with Nick and my friend Katie Aug 6-9. We had a great time visiting Grandma and Grandpa Inman (thanks again!) and lots of cousins that we never get to see along with their adorable children. And if we didn't get to see you, we apologize - it was such a quick trip! And we are sad about it, but we love you. This first pic was in front of where I wanted to ride a ferry, but it just didn't happen. something about not enough time??? lame
We also attended the Undergroud Tour, which was mostly new info to us. We'd heard a bit about it like a day before we came and decided to give it a shot. It was fun to do, but I don't know if I would recommend it if you only have one day in Seattle...
But I guess they invented the Crapper. Er Thomas Crapper invented the crapper... and this was an original? Or maybe just a pretty one

We also had a Fantastic time on our very first sailboat ride! We posed a bit and Elisa and Jeremy were so kind as to invite us to go, and I do believe we were all learning together... The water was beautiful and we even had a little seal friend

2 in one day!

At the carnival, we spotted the A&W bear and his helper... (haha) He had also been in the parade and I loved him but he didn't throw me any A&W barrells. :( So, I simply had no choice but to chase after him calling "A&W bear! How bout a hug?" the helper liked it...
Little did anyone like me know, but Soda Springs has the only capped geiser... west of the mississippi? I can't remember, but it's one of few. every half hour they open it up and it sprays 22 stories high. cool huh? We got to see all the cool stuff.
what's Independence Day without a few sparklers? with a slow shudder speed?
ok, saving the best for last. This is by far the coolest part of the day. Katie and I wanted a sno-cone, but all the shacks were shut down for the day. So we went to Broulim's to find a vold vreat. or cold treat. But on the way in we spotted these and didn't turn back. They're doughnuts shaped as hotdogs!!! it's like the thrill and fun of a hot dog but not the gagging flavor. Oh they were delightful. and we took a lot of pics, but these are my fave.

Summer?

We scored some free tickets to Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat at the civic auditorium in Idaho Falls! We are lucky. This is me, Katie (my roommate), and her/my friend Sam. So fun. Not the best performance I've seen, but their voices were alright...


This is the very first pedicure I have ever had professionally. Adorable eh? My old roommate Jenny and I went on a Saturday to the new Asian place in town. Rexburg is really moving up in the world.

For the 4th, I went with my friend Heather Summers (Left) to her home in Soda Springs. Right when we got into town on Friday evening, we stopped to see her mom and get tickets to the community play, Hello Dolly. Which by the way was way good and fun. Except Dolly. She was a bit old and was losing her pitch, but the whole affair was quite charming. So, while we're inside we hear pelting hail and we look outside and scream. But we were already running late so we ran for our lives (like a whole 15 feet) and when we got in the car it was like we'd jumped in a lake. The other girls had hoods... But I was damp the rest of the night. Even took my socks off to air out in the theatre, but could never warm up. Anyways, also the roads were flooding and I didn't know if little carry could handle it. I've never been in hail like that. And then, like 5 minutes later, it was a sunshiney day so we took pictures of what was left on the road. BTW, Wendy is in the middle. She came too.

Oh so fun Inman Reunion.

Wallowa Lake, Oregon. I went on a walk with my Caleb in the rain! But it was starting to let up about this time. for a few hours...
I was in charge of the morning aerobics. In the end, we just stretched really good. Sydney was the best at following my stretching lead.

The closest town was called Joseph, and this picture with my grandma was taken in memory of Joseph Ramirez- my cousin on a mission.

And this is one of the very few times Max would let me hold him without screaming bloody murder. He has a bit of what we call a parent-anti-separation problem. He did love that river though- and it was fast and loud and right out our back yard. Overall we had a grand stay in the mountains of Oregon where I didn't even have cell phone reception! Family is fun and a good get-away was well needed.

more silliness

Over the weekend I went to Utah again - this time for an old roomate's wedding. While Mary and I (mutual old roomate) were waiting on temple square for the luncheon we got a little creative with our pictures...
ok these pics should be embarrassing, but my friend Katie threw a birthday party for her friend and had a 'mocktail' party (instead of cocktail) . There was a bartender making fake 'drinks' in pretty glasses and it just so happened that these two beauties of dresses (above) were a bargain find at a garage sale the weekend before. You never know when you're going to need to dress up for something.

little hobbies

just a couple wallhangings that I've been working on. Both at the same time. The top one is for my living room that has had naked walls since I moved in (in Sept) and the one below I gave to my good friend Jessica who has the best taste in shoes and fashion in general, but I wanted to make something for her... it was my first attempt at quite a few things including binding and sewing and cutting?

And here is Jessica Olmos- my favorite Edward-loving, High School Musical loving, and all around fab girl. (Note some of her shoes on the side) It's so funny! She gave me Edward for my belated birthday present! He has bows on because he was wrapped. and I brought him home and put him in my kitchen and scared my roommate to death. I particularly enjoy moving him around to keep her guessing where he'll pop up next. Like in the pantry, in her bed, outside the door, just barely peeking around. You have to look twice or three times most of the time because you think someone is really there!

Easter!!!

Em had the coolest Easter/ Sydney's birthday party on Saturday and I made my very own bunny mask!
Then I had a bit of an Easter party on Sunday myself (at this girl in my ward's house...) and hid some real and plastic eggs for some people ouside. This is them getting ready to race outside and begin the hunt. It was so eggs-iting!!!

AND, I made these adorable Easter baskets rice krispie treats with licorice handles and of course eggs. They loved them of course.
Katie wasn't able to be there for the egg hunt, so I hid some for her personally at my house later. How old are we you might ask? But seriously, a hunt for an egg come but once a year my friend! and the classic in the plant hide. haha. Also, if you look real close you can see the mad skills I have (in the scentsy warmer) (blends right in)
