March flew by

So- this was a while ago, but the first weekend of March, we had a sista vaca as we called it. Just a getaway down to Utah with the sisters and mama. So fun.... and I had a birthday!
They threw me a little surprise b-day party complete with a cupcake cake and presents. Very nice
Note my enchanted like princess hand....
And THEN, on my real birthday, I had a real surprise birthday party I had no clue about. At this point, I had a terrible headache from all the surprise and happy people, but why not have one bite of ice cream?
Some of the people who were hiding in the kitchen. Good times...

Remember that beautiful breadstick?

From that dinner I made the other week? Well, I don't recommend this. But sometimes I tend to be a bit forgetful. And we couldn't smell it cause it was trapped in the bread box. But I'll tell you what. Sick. and Disgusting...

V-day and food

We had a family dinner last Sunday and I brought everyone Superman Valentine's that actually had tattoos in every one. So I promptly tattooed everyone.
This is chicken parmesan from Kallie's recipe. Oh it was divine...
And here's the Valentine's treats: cake for Bri and I took cookie decorating lessons from A. I'm a natural

I forgot I had these pics on my camera but here they are! This is the party to welcome Joseph back to reality from his mission! So fun! And he's so old!

And Sydney and her mother have quite the same pose... all I have to do is bust out the camera

Em's cute prego belly. She dressed up for the occasion to make him feel comfortable. And her kids also

I planned a Wii Just Dance party

Heather Laura Hailey Jackie

Thanks to A for letting me borrow the game. I finally pulled it off. And it was a sure hit. I think besides me, Hagen enjoyed it the most- with Jake coming close behind. We got all sweaty and had more fun laughing at everyone else, but also getting laughed at. Even after everyone left Jake, Brian, and I kept going all by ourselves.

Snow, though terrible and cold and a mess to drive in, can actually be fun

My bishop and his family have this cabin in Island Park and the plan was to take all the leaders on a leadership retreat for a training meeting and then spend the night and play in the snow the next day. Snowmobiles/ice fishing... snowball fights...
Turns out, we left Rexburg at 5:30 Friday, the roads were complete ice, it was foggy, and just all over terrible driving conditions. Jake wanted to pull over for a quick prayer just after we left since we forgot to before we took off. But we were past Ashton, going up the steep hill, and we were brought to a stop. Sat there for about 10-15 and then the boys got out to go see what was going on. There was an accident involving a car towing a car, a semi coming across the lane, and hitting 2 other cars. That could have totally been us we were about 10 cars behind the accident. After sitting for quite a bit later (I lose all track of time when sitting 3 people in the back of a small car) we decided to wait it out at Big Judd's in Ashton. There were decisions dragged on if we should head back home or get to it, and there were rumors of the road opening, so we trudged on. There were like 4 full cars/trucks. 2 turned back. 2 went on. I guess I was feeling adventurous. Sat in the (new driving arrangements) truck for another bit. Made it finally to the cabin just after 11! What a good bonding experience? Needless to say, we passed the meeting and the bishopric went to bed, and we went snowmobiling. Yes, we didn't go there for nothing. We went from like 12-2 ish? But that's another story for another day. But the cabin was awesome. I went last year too and wanted to rent it out for our Inman reunion. But the Bishop wouldn't even be very clear on specific reservation dates that far in advance. And since we're not really doing that anymore anyway, this is what we missed out on:
There's actually 2 cabins now. Right next to each other. the new one has 3 floors and tons of bedrooms, bathrooms, play areas, etc. Super nice.

The bedrooms are all different and some have a bathroom attached, but they're mostly all this spacious.
And you know I'm looking in that fridge!! and 2 ovens, microwaves, and sinks.

Just a few of the late night riders. Man, I'm adventurous and not old! As I normally feel like lately...
We made it back safe and sound the next day. no worries. And these are Nick's snowpants. I promise my legs aren't really this big.
